About the Role

Our Civil Engineering teams based in our Basingstoke office are currently looking for graduates with an interest in Airfield, Bridges or Infrastructure. As a Graduate Engineer, your responsibilities will include the delivery of concept studies and strategies and the use of software to design plans for the built environment, to prepare design data for issue, and to support engineers with the production of drawings. You can expect to be active on a number of project and client accounts at any given time working with experienced technical staff to support your development.

As part of our Airfield team you could be working on a variety of projects and tasks that include pavement design, rail, maritime and drainage. The team work on a number of projects including international airports such as Sofia Airport in Bulgaria.

Our Bridges team work on all aspects of Bridge design and maintenance including the inspection and testing of Bridges. The role is varied and challenging working on the highest profile transport infrastructure projects within the UK. You could be involved in designing the Upper Orwell Crossings or providing structures support for the M25 - Europe's busiest motorway.

Our Development Infrastructure team are also looking for graduates to join their team involved in all aspects of infrastructure design. You will have the opportunity to develop skills in highways and drainage design, utility and earthworks modelling and apply them across a whole range of sectors.

All in a day’s work

Beyond that, anything could happen!

Naturally, there is a lot to learn and you are likely to be guided through complex software packages, team briefings and client updates from the start.

About You

What you’ll need

* You’ll be graduating in 2019 or have recently graduated with at least a 2:1 in a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a Civil, Structural or Bridge engineering

* You’ll ideally have less than two years relevant experience

* You’ll be passionate with the curiosity and creativity to solve problems

* You’ll want to stretch and inspire us, speaking up about any new ideas you have

* You’ll want to throw yourself in from day one and put your studies into practice

* You’ll have excellent communication skills

* You’ll enjoy working in a team environment, sharing ideas and collaborating with colleagues

* You’ll have confidence to work under pressure with the ability to prioritise and plan effectively

How long does the process take?

You'll receive an email acknowledging receipt of your application within 48 hours of submission.
